PRODUCT LAUNCHES - OLA DUBH
Ola Dubh was launched in February 2008 as the latest beer from the award-winning Scottish micro-brewery, Harviestoun.
The brief: To generate maximum coverage in the US and UK on a limited budget through specialist press and, by extension, beer enthusiasts.
The approach: Two launch events – one in New York and one in London – immediately demonstrated the global nature of the project. These were followed up by a sustained campaign of mailings and telephone support.
The results: Blanket coverage in all trade press, specialist press on both sides of the Atlantic as well as a huge amount of interest on beer bulletin boards and blogs globally.
The follow up: Quercus Communications handles all the PR activity for the newly-independent Harviestoun Brewery.
